Apple and grape season arrives in it's full glory.



 

The Quail Gate vineyard facing our home is maturing as is the vineyard of Mission Hill Family Estate Winery.



 
Starlings by the hundreds can demolish a vineyard within minutes unless action is taken to combat their wrath.

Spawning began in August at Hardy Falls however Adams River in the Shuswap surpassed expectations.


 
Grapes ripened profusely throughout the Okanagan Valley.


 
Starlings by the hundreds who scavenge unprotected vineyards can destroy a crop of grapes within minutes.

Although viewing the birds through the window appears intimidating they are truly beautiful to watch

as they perform unusual styles of flight formations
